About The Radon Council
The Radon Council is the independent non-profit, self-regulatory body for the radon protection industry. Membership is open to anyone who works in the field of radon detection and remediation. Details of membership can be found on the council’s main website.
- A trusted source of impartial information for property owners and consultants.
- Support and membership benefits for contractors and suppliers.
The Radon Council is not a trade body. It is a not-for-profit organisation that educates and trains professionals in radon matters. These professionals vary from those in the building trade, to housing agencies, health protection officers, lawyers, estate agents etc. It sets standards that it expects its members to meet in any measurement, remediation and new build work that they undertake to mitigate radon risk. The Council has the power to remove members and contractors from its lists if they do not comply with the standards of the Council.
